About Homedex
An open index of UK homes for sale, built so AI assistants can find them. Every enquiry goes straight to the estate agent.
Why we built it
More people now ask an AI assistant to find them a home.
But the assistant can only use what it can read. And in the UK, nearly every home for sale sits inside a few private websites.
Homedex is the open option. Agents let us read the homes on their own websites. We publish them as simple web pages and through a connector for AI assistants. Each home also shows free public facts, like what nearby homes sold for.
Built for AI
Most property websites are built for people clicking around. Homedex is built so AI assistants can read it too.
- Easy for AI to use. Every home is published as clean, structured data: web pages with schema.org markup, an open API and a connector for Claude and ChatGPT. An assistant doesn't have to guess what a page means.
- Better answers for people searching. The details come from the agent's own website and are checked every night, so prices and "sold" or "under offer" are up to date. Each home comes with free public facts, like what nearby homes sold for.
- Agents get found. When someone asks an AI assistant for a home, the agent's listings are there, and every enquiry and click goes to the agent's own website.
Who runs it
Ink One Ltd, a UK company (number 17472764). We run Homedex at cost, not for profit. Once it works, the plan is to move it into a community interest company.
Ink One Ltd also makes Bright24, a separate paid product for estate agents. Bright24 uses Homedex like any other app. It gets no special access, and Homedex never promotes it.
For estate agents
We only show homes from agents who have said yes. We never copy from the big property websites.
