In short: we collect very little, and we never sell it. (Updated September 2026.)

Who we are

If you're browsing

If you use the API or MCP connector

We count requests (which tool, when, how long) to keep things running and to report usage to agents. We don't store the questions people ask their AI assistants.

If you send a message to an agent

The quickest way is the agent's own website. If you use our message form instead, we ask for your name, email, message and (if you like) phone number. We email you a code to check the address is yours. Then we pass your message to that agent only, so they can reply to you. We use it for nothing else, never sell it, and delete our copy after 30days. After that, the agent's own privacy notice applies.

If you sign in

Agents sign in to manage their homes. Developers sign in to get API keys. We keep your email and a sign-in cookie that lasts up to 30 days (only set when you sign in). For API keys, we keep a scrambled copy (a hash), its name and when it was last used. You can cancel a key any time. When an agency agrees to list, we keep a record of who agreed, when and to which version, as proof of the agreement. We keep account details while you use Homedex; ask us and we'll delete them.

If you work at an estate agency

To invite agencies, we use business contact details the agency publishes itself: its website, public member lists (such as The Property Ombudsman and Propertymark) and Companies House. We only email limited companies, at the address on their own website, and never more than we need to. Every email has a "don't email us again" link. If you use it, we keep your address on a do-not-contact list, only so we never email you again.

Who helps us

These companies handle data for us, only to run Homedex:

Some of them are based in the US. Where data leaves the UK, it's protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

Why we're allowed to use it

What we share, and what we never do

We license listing data and area figures to other organisations. That's how Homedex pays its way. It never includes personal data: not your visits, your messages, your sign-in details or your contact details. We never sell personal data to anyone.

Sold-price records

Sold prices and addresses come from HM Land Registry's public Price Paid Data. If a record is wrong, contact HM Land Registry. If you're worried about how we show it, email us.

Your rights

Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to fix or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@homedex.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Are you in a listing photo? Ask us to remove it. We do it the same day.
